Francis turbine can be used for heads as low as 2 meters and as high as 300 meters. Additionally, these turbines are beneficial as they work equally well when positioned horizontally as they do when they are oriented vertically. The water going through a Francis turbine loses pressure, but stays at more or less the same speed, so it would be considered a reaction turbine.

Founded in 1956, Chengdu Forster Technology Co., Ltd. was once a subsidiary of the Chinese Ministry of Machinery and a designated manufacturer of small and medium-sized hydroelectric generator sets. With 66 years of experience in the field of hydraulic turbines, in the 1990s, the system was reformed and started to design, manufacture and sell independently. And began to develop the international market in 2013. At present, our equipment has been exported to Europe, Asia, South America, North America and many other water-rich regions for a long time, and has become a long-term cooperative supplier of many companies, continuing to maintain close cooperation.
Forster turbines have different types, specifications and reliable quality, with reasonable structure, reliable operation, high efficiency, standardized parts, and convenient maintenance. The single turbine capacity can reach 20000KW. The main types are Kaplan Turbine, Bulb Tubular Turbine, S-Tube Turbine, Francis Turbine, Turgo Turbine, Pelton Turbine. Forster also provides electrical ancillary equipment for hydroelectric power plants, such as governors, automated microcomputer integrated control systems, transformers, valves, automatic sewage cleaners and other equipment.

1.Comprehensive processing capacity. Such as 5M CNC VTL OPERATOR, 130 & 150 CNC floor boring machines, constant temperature annealing furnace, planer milling machine, CNC machining center ect.

1. You are a trading company or a manufacture?
We are a hydro turbine manufacture with over 60 years of experiences, we have facilities in Zigong City, pay a visit to our factory you will know more about us.
2. How to choose a right turbine? There are so many models offering on your website. And how to calculate the turbine capacity?
Just tell me the water head, flow rate, our senior engineer will work out the solution for you. The turbine capacity: P=Flow rate(cubic meter/second) * Water head(m) * 9.8(G) * 0.8(efficiency).
3. What information shoul I provide for getting the quotation?
We need to know water head, flow rate, voltage level, frequency, on-grid or off-grid running, automation level from you to work out the solution.
4. When my turbine shut down, who can help me solve the problem?
You are free to call me day or night at my cellphone number. I am sure our engineer able to fix the problem either by changing spare parts or remove something.
5.Can you do EPC for a hydroelectric power plant?
Yes, we can provide TURN-KEY and EPC services including measurement, design, manufacturing, construction, manufacturing, commissioning, inspection, maintenance runner replacement and refurbishment/upgrade/improvement/repair/refurbishment of turbines/generators including bearings, seals For parts and key parts, we will send technicians and workers to install equipment.
6. How can I trust you?
Pay us via trade assurance is not a problem. And we also accept L/C. To build mutul-trust we think pay a visit to our facility is the best way.
